Mr. Harris,

Thank you for your interest in the Westside Recreation Center and I would be happy to give you and the Greater Round Rock West Neighborhood Association an update on the project.  Currently, we are in the very early stages of the project and have not completely identified the program elements of the facility.  The program elements that will likely be included in facility will be the same program elements that were identified in the Community Needs Assessment.  These elements include gymnasium (1 or 2 courts), fitness center, aerobics area, elevated track, multi-purpose room, locker rooms, babysitting room, administrative offices, and outdoor aquatic center (if located adjacent to Krebsbach Pool).  The exact number of program elements will be determined based on the architect’s opinion of probable cost, as to what exactly we can afford with our current project budget of $7 million. 

I know this doesn’t give you much more information than you probably already have, but as I said we are still very early in the project.  As we move further into the design of the facility, I would be happy to provide you with a more defined list of program elements.
