Applications for the Greater Round Rock West Neighborhood Association (GRRWNA) Scholarship must be submitted to the
GRRWNA website at: www.grrwna.org on the standard Round Rock ISD Scholarship
application form with the required essay attached.
The GRRWNA Scholarship
will be awarded to a graduating Round Rock ISD high school senior who resides within the boundaries of the GRRWNA. The applicant
must attend Austin Community College in order to receive the scholarship.
The
applicant must also submit a 300-500 word essay on one of the following topics:
The Importance of Personally Being Involved in the Community.
What it
means to be a Good Neighbor.
Length of residency
within the boundaries of the GRRWNA may also be considered.
The amount of the
scholarship will be a total of $1000 to be paid in two installments. The first payment will be in the amount
of $500 for the Fall Semester. The second payment will be made for the ensuing Spring Semester, providing
the student achieved at least a 3.0 grade point average for the Fall Semester.
We also request that the recipient
write us a letter after the first and second semester, along with a campus photo, briefly outlining his/her college experience.
This letter is subject to being read in a GRRWNA Meeting and/or published in the GRRWNA newsletter.
